One of the unique features of Heather Care is that you or your loved one will be given the opportunity to access a range of learning sessions, which aim to build independence and confidence for each individual. Subjects taught include Literacy, Numeracy, IT, Arts and Crafts, Drama, Current Affairs, Music, Creative Writing, Cookery, and Personal Care, and are supported with subject-specific resources.
The sessions are specifically tailored to the interests and abilities of the participants. New sessions can be devised on request. At Heather Care, there will always be opportunities for development and growth whatever the level of learning disability.
People can access the activities at their own pace and level. New skills can be explored or existing skills consolidated. The activities will be personalised to enable all participants to have as fulfilling a learning experience as possible.
The emphasis of the sessions is for participants to have an enjoyable learning experience amongst a supportive group of peers.

How we deliver our education sessions:
In addition to a varied timetable of educational sessions, you or your loved one can participate in a range of activities and trips out, including bowling, cycling, theatre / museum trips and much more.
